List your starting point.
Write down the brewer, grinder and drinks you usually make. This makes a product enquiry more useful than asking for the best coffee without context.
Separate preference from specification.
Flavor notes describe a product or a tasting impression; they are not ingredients unless the label says otherwise. Ask the supplier about anything that matters to your purchase.
Check format and freshness information.
Compare whole-bean or ground format, net weight and the roast or date information actually supplied. Do not invent a roast-to-order promise or assume every bag has the same dispatch schedule.
Compare landed value.
Use the same net-weight basis and include relevant delivery charges. Choose a quantity your kitchen or business can store and use sensibly.
